Biden's nuclear explosion guidelines includes SOCIAL DISTANCING

Biden admin updates its nuclear explosion guidelines to include SOCIAL DISTANCING as Russia readies its missiles against the West: Americans should go to basements, stay inside for 24hrs and not look at blast – but stay six feet from others

  • The Biden administration’s instructions for nuclear explosions tells Americans to ‘continue to practice social distancing’
  • Guidelines tell Americans to remain six feet apart and wearing a mask when sheltering in place in the event of nuclear attack
  • It is not immediately clear when this guidance was included in the nuclear explosion page but it was last updated on Friday, February 25, 2022
  • The revelations of the guidance comes after Vladimir Putin escalated tensions with the West on Sunday by ordering Russian nuclear forces be put on high alert

Joe Biden’s administration guidelines on what Americans should do in the event of a nuclear explosion includes social distancing and masking provisions, according to a government website on preparedness that was updated Friday.

The updated guidance comes as President Vladimir Putin put Russia’s nuclear deterrent forces on alert in the midst of his attack on Ukraine last week.

One section of the Ready.gov website for nuclear explosions tells Americans: ‘Stay inside for 24 hours unless local authorities provide other instructions.’

‘Continue to practice social distancing by wearing a mask and by keeping a distance of at least six feet between yourself and people who not (sic) part of your household,’ it instructs.

It is not immediately clear when this guidance was included in the nuclear explosion page, but the webpage was last updated on Friday, February 25, 2022, according to a note at the bottom of the site.

The revelations of the guidance comes, however, after Putin escalated tensions with the West on Sunday by ordering Russian nuclear forces be put on high alert.

The move comes as President Vladimir Putin (pictured Sunday on a trip to the National Space Centre) ordered forces operating Russia’s nuclear deterrent to be on alert amid simmering tensions with the West

Putin reasoned that the directive was given due to ‘aggressive statements’ by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)..

The move raised concerns that the invasion of Ukraine could intentionally or mistakenly lead to a nuclear war.

A senior U.S. Defense official told the Associated Press that Putin is ‘potentially putting in play forces that, if there’s a miscalculation, could make things much, much more dangerous.’

Putin’s directive raising concerns of nuclear war comes as he agreed over the weekend to peace talks between Kyiv and Moscow delegations at the Belarus border on Monday.

Russia’s assault on Ukraine continued overnight as Putin’s forces closed in on the capital city, but President Volodymyr Zelensky has been able to so-far defend Kyiv.

The U.S. preparation website for nuclear explosions tells Americans to not look at the blast and to stay inside for 24 hours afterwards.

It also, however, includes COVID-19 restrictions like remaining six-feet away from people who are not part of the same household and wearing masks – a confusing sentiment as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) massively relaxed its indoor mask recommendations on Friday.

The U.S. announced implementation of new sanctions against Russian financial institutions on Monday that would immediately effectively freeze Putin’s ‘war chest’ of $600 billion to prevent him from rescuing his country’s economy and the ruble plummets.
