Biden nabs all 5 votes in Dixville Notch, NH — giving him first victory of Election Day
Joe Biden nabbed the first victory of Election Day — winning all five votes of a small New Hampshire town that traditionally tallies their results just after midnight.
The final vote tally in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire — which is usually among the first in the nation to reveal their election results — was displayed shortly after midnight on a handwritten poster board.
In the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton won the Dixville Notch vote. Then, the town, which is close to the Canadian border, had eight voters.
Two other areas in the state, Hart’s Location and Millsfield, have also historically offered midnight voting.
But due to the pandemic, voters in Hart’s Location will have to wait until 11 a.m. to cast their ballots over coronavirus concerns, WMUR reported.
