Officers have cordoned off an area in the grounds of the hospital, amid suggestions a body may have been found.

The Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI) is currently on scene.

A blue police tent has been set up while forensics officers in white protective outfits surround it, images have revealed.

Images show officers inspecting a grey coloured car which was partially covered by a tent.

Police have also cordoned off nearby Dunluce Avenue.

A PSNI spokeswoman said: “Police are currently at the scene of an ongoing incident in the Lisburn Road, Belfast.

“There are no further details at this stage.”
