Baby is 'sprayed with mace' as cops break up mass brawl at five-year-old's birthday party

A FOUR-MONTH-OLD baby was allegedly sprayed with mace and four people were arrested after a children's birthday party descended into chaos.

Cops claim one of the guests "shoved" an officer when they asked for "loud" and "profane" music at the five-year-old's birthday party to be turned down.

Cops say an officer sprayed one person but other family members intervened, and in a struggle, a child was knocked off his bicycle.

But the family insist they did nothing wrong and didn't even touch the officers during the incident in Birmingham, Alabama.

Sisters Patrice Bozeman, 24, Brittany Bozeman, 28, Denise Bozeman, 23 and their dad Menderryl Wright, 48, claim they were maced, tazered and arrested "for the crime of having a birthday party".

Patrice, who threw the party for her daughter Zauriona, says she was holding her four-month-old when she was hit by spray, say local reports.

She told Al.com her daughter was "very upset", adding: "She keeps saying 'Mama, they ruined my party.'"

Dramatic footage shows the aftermath of the event, as someone is shown laying on the ground amid hysterical screaming and shouting.

But while the incident was filmed on cops' body cameras, the Birmingham Police Department says footage can't be released as the investigation is still ongoing.

The four family members were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

The sisters and their father, joined by Black Lives Matter, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and other community groups, are calling for the two officers who initiated the to be fired.
