Armed vigilantes kidnap cartel hitman and force him to name his murderous pals
Members of an armed self-defence group in the Gulf of Mexico have detained and interrogated a hitman who gave up the names of his murderous pals and a corrupt official.
New footage released on a video broadcast to social media from the Autodefensas (Fed Up Citizens) group in Mexico shows the alleged self-defence group heavily armed and aiming their guns at a captive.
The prisoner, whose name is not mentioned, gave details of three Guatemalan migrants who had recently disappeared.
It was reported that migration from Guatemala to Mexico was on the rise, and the captive alleges the three missing migrants were actually killed when they did not pay a ransom.
The video showed the captive surrounded by Autodefensas, with an interrogator asking a series of questions and BorderlandBeat transcribing the video.
One question put to the hostage was: "Who are responsible for three Guatemalans disappeared from Antigua?"
The captive said: "Elivar Giovanni Galicia, aka El Pollino, El Bayo, bosses of Chamin, Chumiz, Commander Nacho and El Alfa. Boyno gave the order to execute and disappear them in a ranch that beongs to Chamin in the Nueva Linda neighbourhood.
"They are responsible for the deaths in Mexico and Guatemala."
Interrogators also asked the captive why the three Guatemalan's had been killed.

The captive said that they were killed "For not paying ransom they were asked for and also taking away a new gravy van along with a coffee trailer."
He also alleged that Captain Hiram Mejía Alba was involved, saying: "Juan Isidro pays the captain of the National Guard $100,000 and is in charge of the highways in Chiapas."
The admission comes after Mexican media outlets reported that there have been 40 disappearances throughout 2022 in the same area as the three alleged murders.
The Chipas Attorney General's Office has opened an investigation into the area and the missing persons after the interrogation video was released to social media.
