Armed police were forced to move in on swarms of drunken Brits dancing the night away on a strip in Magaluf last night.

The party-goers refused to go home and ignored the new 1am curfew outside the landmark Capitol Bar in Punta Ballena.

One boozing yob jumped on a moving vehicle and fell to the ground before fellow holidaymakers ran up to the car and started smacking it with their fists, reports the Daily Mirror.

It comes after Spaniards were left shocked when drunken British tourists were seen without masks dancing on cars in the European country.

Tourists flouted social distancing rules after months of effort from the Spanish government at preventing the spread of coronavirus.

The Guardian reports locals and tourists have been caught in confrontations in the last few days with up to 60 illegal parties reported to the authorities.

But luckily for the touring Brits, there were no injuries or arrests immediately reported last night.

Police have been clamping down quickly on tourists causing chaos abroad this summer to avoid a repeat of the appalling behaviour seen during England’s Euro 2020 campaign.

After the semi-final victory over Denmark, ecstatic fans partied on the Punta Ballena strip.

But cops baring truncheons were ordered to move the Brits along and used pepper spray to bring them off the road and onto the pavement.

Party-goers were forced to pull their clothes over their mouths and were seen rubbing their eyes as the chemical touched their face.

The spray – often used to control large crowds without causing permanent damage – was also used in the incident last night.

Spanish police blamed the unruly tourists for its usage, claiming they were letting off canisters themselves.

Coronavirus restrictions were made stricter in Majorca last month as the sun-soaked island fought against a new wave of infections.

Bars were forced to shut at 1am and rules about the number of people allowed on the same table were reduced.
