The House Intelligence, Oversight, and Foreign Affairs Committees released the transcript of Defense official Laura Cooper’s testimony in the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump on Monday.

Cooper, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russian, Ukrainian, and Eurasian affairs in the office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, testified before the committees on Oct. 23. 

Biden edges Democratic challengers in New Hampshire poll

Former Vice President Joe Biden took the lead in a poll of New Hampshire likely Democratic primary voters released on Monday. The Quinnipiac University survey showed Biden with 20% support; Sen. Elizabeth Warren getting 16%, South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 15%, and Sen. Bernie Sanders with 14%. When including the Quinnipiac poll, Biden and Warren are even in the RealClearPolitics average of New Hampshire polls, and Sanders trails less than a point behind. In a separate poll question, only 2% of likely Democratic primary voters say they would definitely vote for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg if he got into the race.

NEW YORK, Nov 11 (Reuters) – The S&P 500 and Nasdaq stock indexes fell from record highs on Monday as uncertainty about progress in the U.S.-China trade talks again rose to the fore following comments by President Donald Trump, while a jump in Boeing Co shares helped keep the Dow Jones Industrial Average little changed.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 12.96 points, or 0.05%, to 27,694.2, the S&P 500 lost 6.04 points, or 0.20%, to 3,087.04 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 11.04 points, or 0.13%, to 8,464.28. (Reporting by Lewis Krauskopf; Editing by Sandra Maler)

Noah Holdings Limited Q3 adjusted earnings of RMB5.73 per share

Noah Holdings Limited (NOAH) announced earnings for third quarter that decreased from the same period last year.

The company’s earnings totaled RMB191.60 million, or RMB3.10 per share. This compares with RMB207.71 million, or RMB3.41 per share, in last year’s third quarter.

Excluding items, Noah Holdings Limited reported adjusted earnings of RMB353.71 million or RMB5.73 per share for the period.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose 0.4% to RMB841.99 million from RMB838.98 million last year.

Anheuser-Busch To Buy Out Craft Brew Alliance

Anheuser-Busch InBev SA announced plans to buy the remaining Craft Brew Alliance’s shares it does not already own for $16.50 per share in cash.

Anheuser-Busch previously held 31.2% stake in the Craft Brew Alliance. The company had said in August it would not buy out the company and that its existing commercial partnership with Craft Brew Alliance was a key complement to its craft portfolio.

Michel Doukeris, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, said, “Our partnership with CBA goes back many years and we look forward to supporting CBA as they continue to bring great products to beer drinkers across the U.S.”

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including approval by a majority of CBA’s shareholders and certain regulatory approvals. The transaction is expected to close in 2020.

Tencent Music Entertainment’s sales rise 31% in Q3

Tencent Music Entertainment Group TME, +2.64% reported higher net income in the third quarter as revenue rose.

The music streaming-service company said profit rose to 1.02 billion yuan ($143 million) from 964 million yuan a year earlier.

Revenue rose 31% to 6.51 billion yuan ($910 million).

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected a profit of 907.2 million yuan and 6.37 billion yuan in sales.

Tencent Music reported 35.4 million online-music paying subscribers, up 42% from last year, and 12.2 million social-entertainment paying subscribers, compared with 9.9 million in the third quarter a year earlier.

Anheuser-Busch plans to buy out Craft Brew Alliance for large premium

Anheuser-Busch InBev SA BUD, +0.29% will continue the buying frenzy for craft beers by attempting to purchase the rest of publicly traded Craft Brew Alliance Inc. BREW, +0.55% for $16.50 a share. Craft Brew Alliance closed Monday’s trading session at $7.33 a share, but the stock shot up more than 120% in after-hours trading to more closely resemble to purchase price. Craft Brew Alliance is known for its Kona Brewing, Widmer Brothers and Redhook Brewery brands, among others. Anheuser-Busch, the maker of Budweiser and other mass-market beers, has moved heavily into craft beers in recent years, and previously made a distribution deal with Craft Brew Alliance. Part of that deal included an option to buy the remaining shares, but Anheuser-Busch allowed the deadline for that deal to pass without exercising the original option, instead paying a $20 million incentive payment. The large beer company already owned a stake of more than 31% in Craft Brew, according to FactSet, and will seek to buy the rest of the shares with cash.
