AN Amber Alert has been issued for a one-year-old girl who is believed to be in “extreme danger” after being abducted by her father.

Baylee Sue Peeples was taken from her home just before 2am on Thursday by Robert Peeples, 39, who was described as a “non-custodial parent”, Arcade Police Department in Georgia said.

The term refers to a parent who isn't allowed custody as the result of a court order.

Baylee was last seen at a home on Rock Forge Road in Jefferson and it is feared her father could be taking her elsewhere in the state or Mississippi.

The youngster is described as three  feet tall, weighing 25lbs, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Baylee Sue was last seen wearing a pink shirt decorated with hearts with words "Always Amazing" and a pink-and-black jacket with "Love" printed on it.

Robert Peeples is described as 5-foot-10 and weighing 187lbs, with blue eyes and blond buzz-cut hair.

He is possibly driving a white 1993 GMC Vandura van with a Georgia registration RIK1620.
