Police said Wortman’s body was found on a lease site off Range Road 224, about half a mile north of Highway 28, which is west of the town of Redwater.
The Edmonton medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy on Feb. 14, and found Wortman died as the result of a homicide.
Redwater RCMP and Major Crimes North want to speak with anyone who may have been in contact with Wortman before Feb. 11 or may have noticed any suspicious people or vehicles in the area where his body was found.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Redwater RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
