African Union Mission in Somalia to withdraw troops
Officials from the five countries contributing to the African Union Mission to Somalia, know as AMISOM, are discussing plans to withdraw their troops by the end of 2020.
Officials from the five countries contributing to the African Union force in Somalia are in Uganda’s capital, discussing plans to withdraw their troops by the end of 2020.
The force known as AMISOM has been battling al-Shabab fighters for 10 years.
It’s now training local police forces to prepare them for the future.
