Al Jazeera speaks to Abdul Aziz Muhamat, who has been held captive on the island by Australia for over five years.

    The critically ill refugees held by Australia in Papua New Guinea will have to wait until next year for any chance of getting treatment in Australia after MPs failed last week to pass legislation that would have allowed them to leave the prison camp on Manus Island.

    Al Jazeera spoke to Abdul Aziz Muhamat, who has been tirelessly advocating for refugee rights and a detainee himself for more than five years.
