Victims of the Aurora theater shooting will be remembered by candlelight vigil Tuesday night. Nine years ago, on July 20, 2012, 13 people were killed and 70 injured in the mass shooting.

The vigil will begin at 11:30 p.m. near the entrance of the Aurora Water-Wise Garden and proceed toward the memorial for ceremonies. The event will also be live-streamed on Facebook and Zoom.

The 7/20 Memorial honors the victims, families and survivors of the 2012 Aurora theatre shooting. The City of Aurora Municipal Center’s Water-wise Reflection Garden features a sculpture of 83 cranes containing notes from loved ones. Seventy cranes represent those injured that night, meeting 13 uppermost cranes for those who died.

They are also hosting the 5th annual Reflection Garden on Tap Fundraiser at the Water Wise garden. Frontline heroes will be honored at the free event on Saturday.
