3 rescued from Bahamian island after surviving on coconuts: report
It’s a coco-nuts survival story.
The Coast Guard said two men and a woman were rescued Tuesday from a deserted island in the Bahamas after they survived for 33 days on coconuts, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
The trio of Cuban nationals were picked up from Anguilla Cay and transferred to a hospital in Key West, Fla., the Coast Guard said. No injuries were reported.

Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Brandon Murray said that he couldn’t remember “a time that we saved people who were stranded for over a month on an island,” according to the Sun Sentinel.
