Ottawa police say they have arrested three men and seized a loaded gun after a search warrant was executed at an address in South Keys.
Police say on Friday, Feb. 8, they arrested two men for alleged drug trafficking.
Later that day, a search warrant was executed in the 2700-block of Carousel Crescent, which they say resulted in the seizure of a loaded .40 calibre Smith & Wesson handgun, an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency, as well as crack and powder cocaine.
As a result of the warrant, a third male was arrested on Sunday and also faces similar drug-trafficking charges.
Ahmed Ahmed, 27, and Jonathin Scott, 41, both from Ottawa, have been charged with several drug- and firearm-related offences and the third male Zachary Fontaine, 27, also from Ottawa, has been charged with drug possession.
Scott was scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning, while Ahmed appeared in court on Friday, and Fontaine is scheduled to appear in court on March 19.
