‘Won’t vote for a snake!’ Red Wall lost under Sunak, say voters as Boris quits

Britain’s voters have vowed that they “won’t vote for a snake” as they believe that the “Red Wall” is lost under the leadership of Rishi Sunak. A series of tweets came on the same day as Boris Johnson announced his resignation as Tory MP. 

A social media user @ChrisPBacin tweeted: “Sunak will lose the next election because the Tory supporters won’t vote for him. I’m part of the red wall who loaned my vote to Boris. In fact I’m an ex-Labour party member who left when Corbyn came in. I don’t care how disastrous a Labour govt will be, I won’t vote for a snake.”

In December 2019, Mr Johnson broke through Labour’s “red wall” of constituencies in the north of England to win a seismic general election victory.
