First Minister Nicola Sturgeon held a coronavirus briefing on Tuesday afternoon explaining the current progress being made on the vaccine rollout. Ms Sturgeon insisted the Scottish Government was on target and that everyone over the age of 70 would have been offered their vaccine by now. However, during the question portion of the briefing, STV’s Gordon Chree argued that he had spoken to individuals who had contacted the helpline and their GPs to be told they did not know when their appointments would be. 

Mr Chree questioned Ms Sturgeon what had gone wrong in the rollout and asked whether the vaccine helpline had the capacity to deal with individuals who had still not yet been offered their first coronavirus vaccine jab.
