Rishi Sunak has hit out at Sir Keir Starmer, saying he is in charge of the “same old Labour party”, which is “always running out of other peoples’ money”. This came after Sir Keir criticised Mr Sunak’s record on money.

He said: “People are £1600 a year worse off.

“I’m genuinely interested to know- does he really think everything is fine?

“Or is he just clueless about anything outside of his bubble?”

The Labour leader branded the Conservative party “economic vandals”.

Sir Keir also launched a personal attack on the Prime Minister, saying: “Rishi Sunak is so out of touch that he looks at a petrol pump and a debit card as if they’ve just arrived from Mars.”
