BREAKING: Liberal Democrats win Brecon by-election in major blow to Government
Jane Dodds has been elected MP for Brecon & Randonshire after gaining the seat from the Conservatives.
She won by 1,425 votes, beating disgraced former Tory MP Chris Davies.
The result means that the Liberal Democrats will now have 13 MPs sitting in the House of Commons.
It also means that new Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s wafer-thin majority has been sliced to one.
