Former Home Secretary David Blunkett has suggested Prime Minister Boris Johnson could be a “security risk” due to questionable operations in Downing Street. The claim comes as the scandal into lockdown breaking parties at Downing Street rumbles on. There are allegations that Mr Johnson often left top-secret documents lying around when visitors came to his flat – prompting his aides to ban him from taking the files upstairs. Mr Blunkett said to LBC he would be “very surprised” if Mi5 were not already looking into the matter. Former minister Dominic Cummings has spoken previously said there is a “frat house” atmosphere in Number 10. Mr Johnson remains in an uneasy position, awaiting the publication of Sue Gray’s report which could be delivered as early as today.
