Boris Johnson girlfriend: Will Carrie Symonds join Boris in No10 if he gets made PM today?

The next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom will be announced at 11.45am today, Tuesday, July 23. Boris Johnson has a vast advantage offer his opponent emery Hunt, and is widely expected to take the top job. But with an estranged wife and a girlfriend more than 20 years his junior, what might his living arrangements look like?

The relationship between Mr Johnson, 55, and Carrie Symonds, 31, has been the centre of much speculation in recent weeks.

A blazing row between the couple led to neighbours calling the police to Ms Symond’s home in Camberwell last month, and the pair have sought to quash rumours of turbulence and a split since.

But now, a friend has told The Sun all is well in the relationship and Ms Symonds will move in to Number 10, to join her partner – although not immediately to try prevent overshadowing Mr Johnson’s big moment.

The friend said: “They’ve been living together a while and have agreed it will carry on if he wins on Tuesday.”

Mr Johnson is expected to make a speech outside Number 10 at around 5pm on Wednesday but will enter his new home alone.

Traditionally, an incoming Prime Minister will pose and wave for the cameras with their husband or wife in front of the famous door.

But, as Mr Johnson is not yet divorced from his wife Marina, as well as the controversy around his relationship with Ms Symonds, she’s expected to stay out of the limelight.

Instead, she will move in over the weekend, once the new Cabinet has been appointed.

This will make them the first non-married couple to live together in the Prime Minister’s suite in Number 10.

Mr Johnson has refused to be drawn on the controversy surrounding the relationship.

He said during the campaign: “I decided ages ago that I just don’t talk about people I love.”

Over the weekend, Ms Symonds was seen helping her mother move furniture into a three-storey red brick house in Camberwell, south London.

The four-bedroom property is a mile from Ms Symonds’s previous flat, where the row took place.

This new house is allegedly a joint investment of the couple, which they will live in once Mr Johnson’s time in Downing Street is up.

Mr Johnson is planning on buying new furniture for Number 10 using taxpayer money.

He is reported to have told civil servants he “didn’t have any stuff” because his estranged wife has kept their furniture and Ms Symonds’s furniture is being used in their new home.
