The Cabinet minister will outline the latest situation to MPs in the House of Commons this afternoon.

He will provide an update on the military response to the crisis including how Britain is helping Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fight off the Russian invasion.

The UK continues to provide defensive and lethal aid to the country in order to tackle the might of the Red Army.

However, there are growing concerns that UK military personnel are taking it upon themselves to join the fight, travelling to defend Ukraine from Russia’s onslaught.

A serving 19-year-old in the Queen’s Guard is thought to have left his post to fight in Eastern Europe.

A further three soldiers have also gone AWOL with concerns they are heading to fight for Ukraine.
