History

Littlewood was part of the NDP government that was swept into power in the 2015 election, ending 44 years of Progressive Conservative rule in the province. Littlewood defeated Jacquie Fenske to win the district in 2015. Fenske won a seat in the riding for the Progressive Conservatives in the 2012 election.

Before the NDP win in 2015, the riding had elected PC members since its inception in 2004.

Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville is the riding of former premier Ed Stelmach.
