EXCLUSIVE: Sugar23 has signed multi-hyphenate Rachel Bloom.
Bloom is an Emmy Award winner best known as the co-creator and star of The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She is currently in production on Steve Levitan’s Hulu comedy series Reboot, and it was most recently announced that she will star in Bar Fight, a comedy from writer/director Jim Mahoney. Bloom’s book, I Want to Be Where the Normal People Are was released by Grand Central Publishing in 2020 and will release via paperback on April 5, 2022.
Bloom is also represented by UTA and Lev Ginsberg.

Bay of Plenty police are monitoring a large Black Power gathering in Ngongotahā.
A police spokeswoman said there were a number of police staff present.
”They are monitoring and issuing infringements in relation to driving behaviour.”
”Police will also be following up and issuing further infringements for disorder or driving offences where appropriate,” she said.
A passerby said ”hundreds of black power bikies and utes are congregating”.

Male inmate dies in his cell inside the El Paso County jail
An inmate died in his cell Friday in the El Paso County jail, the second inmate to die at the jail in just over a week.
At about 4 p.m. the man was found “unresponsive” at a desk in his assigned cell, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. Resuscitative measures were initiated by jail staff and medical responders with the Colorado Springs Fire Department, but the man could not be revived.
On March 17, an inmate, a woman, was found unresponsive inside her cell in the jail. Medical measures were taken but she, too, was pronounced dead in the jail.

Taylor Hawkins Dies: Drummer For The Foo Fighters Was 50
Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the Foo Fighters, has died. The band announced it on Twitter.
The band was touring South America at the time of his death. Hawkins reportedly was found dead in a hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, where the band had been due to play at a festival. No cause of death has been revealed as of yet.
Foo Fighters have announced that they won’t be performing at Festival Estéreo Picnic in the capital following the tragedy.
Hawkins joined the band in 1997 after two years as Alanis Morissette’s drummer. .
He is survived by a wife and had several children.

Gordon Chang claims the U.S. should not be pressuring Ukrainian president Zelenskyy to ‘cave in.’
Author and China expert Gordon Chang warned against the Biden administration getting involved in Russia-Ukraine peace deal negotiations Friday on “The Ingraham Angle.”
GORDON CHANG: The problem here is that Russia is breaking down the international order, so there are all sorts of significant points here that we have yet to really think about. So essentially, what we should be doing is, we shouldn’t be pressuring Zelenskyy to cave in. And that’s what I’m afraid of, if the Biden administration actually starts to get really involved in these negotiations, because we know that Biden wants a lot from Russia in connection with the Iran nuclear deal, which shouldn’t be discussed at this point — it should never be discussed. So, I’m really concerned if Biden does become more involved in Eastern Europe.
