Intra-Cellular Therapies Up 4% After Pricing Of Public Offering

Shares of biopharmaceutical company Intra-Cellular Therapies Inc. (ITCI) are up 4 percent on Wednesday’s trading after the company announced the price of its underwritten public offering of 9.52 million shares at $42.00 per share.

All of the shares in the offering will be sold by Intra-Cellular Therapies, with gross proceeds to the company expected to be $400.0 million before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses. The offering is expected to close on January 7.

Currently at $46.56, the stock has traded between $28.40 and $55.19 during the past 52 weeks.

RPM International Q2 Profit Misses Estimates; Net Sales Up 10.3%

RPM International Inc. (RPM) reported a decline in its second quarter adjusted EBIT due to continued material, wage and freight inflation, and supply chain disruptions that were exacerbated by Hurricane Ida and increased conversion costs. The company recorded strong double-digit sales growth at three of four operating segments.

Looking forward, RPM expects to generate double-digit consolidated sales growth in the third quarter. Consolidated adjusted EBIT is expected to decrease 5% to 15% from last year.

Excluding items, second quarter adjusted EBIT was $157.3 million, a decrease of 21.0% from $199.3 million, a year ago. Excluding items, adjusted EPS was $0.79, compared to $1.06. On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.83, for the quarter. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

Net income was $124.9 million, a decrease of 2.2% from prior year. Earnings per share was $0.96, compared to $0.98.

Second-quarter net sales were $1.64 billion, up 10.3% from a year ago. Analysts on average had estimated $1.55 billion in revenue.

Why Are Mainz Biomed Shares Surging Over 40%?

Shares of Mainz Biomed B.V. (MYNZ) surged over 40% on Wednesday morning after the molecular genetics diagnostic company announced that it acquired exclusive rights to novel mRNA biomarkers.

MYNZ is currently trading at $14.76, up $4.44 or 43.02%, on the Nasdaq.

Mainz Biomed has entered into a Technology Rights Agreement with Socpra Sciences Santé Et Humaines S.E.C. to access a portfolio of novel mRNA biomarkers for potential future integration into ColoAlert, the company’s highly efficacious, and easy-to-use detection test for colorectal cancer.

Mainz is currently marketing ColoAlert in Europe through its unique business model of partnering with third-party laboratories for test kit processing versus the traditional methodology of operating a single facility. The Company is also preparing to initiate ColoAlert’s regulatory pathway for approval in the United States.
