Two HUNDRED sheep killed after horror lorry crash on the A76 in Dumfries

Cops were forced to shut the A76 around 10.50pm night after the truck crashed into a field near Enterkinfoot in Dumfries and Galloway.

The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

And police confirmed that more than 200 sheep which were on-board the Scania HGV have died.

Officers said the road reopened around 5.30am this morning.

The Dumfries ad Galloway Police Division is now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
