Fuchs Petrolub FY21 Profit Climbs, Lifts Dividend; Sees Higher FY22 Results – Quick Facts

Fuchs Petrolub (FUPEF.PK), a manufacturer of lubricants and related specialty products, Friday reported that its fiscal 2021 earnings after tax grew 15 percent to 254 million euros from last year’s 221 million euros.

Earnings per share went up to 1.82 euros from 1.58 euros a year ago. EBIT of 363 million euros climbed 16 percent year-on-year, and adjusted EBIT was 354 million euros, up 17 percent.

Sales revenues increased 21 percent to 2.87 billion euros from prior year’s 2.38 billion euros.

Further, FUCHS proposes to the Annual General Meeting that the dividend for fiscal 2021 be increased by 4 percent, to 1.03 euros per preference share and 1.02 euros per ordinary share.

Looking ahead for fiscal 2022, the company expects sales revenues between 3.0 billion euros and 3.3 billion euros and EBIT between 360 million euros and 390 million euros, subject to effects from the Russian invasion into the Ukraine

The company currently anticipates organic growth in sales revenues.

The company added that it achieved further milestones with FUCHS2025.

Bechtle Annual Earnings Rise

Bechtle AG (BC8G), a German IT system house, on Friday reported a rise in earnings for the fiscal 2021, amidst an increase in incoming orders and revenue from e-commerce segment.

For the fiscal 2021, the IT firm posted its post-tax earnings at 231.44 million euros or 1.84 euros per share, compared with 192.54 million euros or 1.53 euros per share, reported a year ago.

The Neckarsulm-headquartered firm’s EBT for the 12-month period rose to 320.50 million euros as against 270.70 million euros, on year-on-year basis.

EBIT for the year was also climbed to 325.72 million euros, from 276.95 million euros, reported for the fiscal 2020.

Bechtle registered a 16-percent rise in incoming orders to 1.80 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 80 percent.

The Group generated revenue of 5.30 billion euros for the year, compared with 5.05 billion euros, reported for the previous fiscal.

In the IT e-commerce segment, the revenue for the last fiscal moved up by 14.5 percent to 1.91 billion euros.

The company has proposed an increased annual dividend of 0.55 euros per share.

JD Wetherspoon H1 Loss Narrows; Revenue Almost Doubles

JD Wetherspoon Plc (JDW.L), a British pub operator, on Friday posted a decreased loss for the first half of 2022 reflecting a decline in finance costs and a significant rise in revenue.

For the six-month period to January 23, the company reported a loss of 11.46 million pounds or 9 pence per share, compared with 58.79 million pounds or 49.1pence per share loss a year ago.

Pre-tax loss of the company was also narrowed to 13.03 million pounds from 68 million pounds, reported for first half of 2021.

The pub company generated an operating profit for the period at 1.90 million pounds, versus an operating loss of 25.15 million pounds, on year-on-year basis.

The Watford-headquartered Group registered its finance costs for its first half at 29.57 million pounds, compared with 35.29 million pounds, recorded for the first 26-month period of the last fiscal.

J D Wetherspoon’s revenue for the period almost doubled at 807.39 million pounds, compared with 431 million pounds, on year-on-year basis.

ToolGuards Portable Water Immersion Heaters Recalled

Sweden’s FXswede AB is recalling about 5000 units of ToolGuards Portable water immersion heaters citing shock, electrocution and fire risks, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves ToolGuards portable water immersion heaters with a built-in thermostat. The recalled heaters have TOOLGUARDS, Model TG_IMH_01 and Batch Number PO100301 printed on a silver label on the black plastic base of the unit.

The product is used to heat water in foot baths, pools, water buckets, and similar locations.

The heaters, manufactured in China, were imported by FXswede and sold at Amazon.com from December 2021 through February 2022 for about $45.

According to the agency, the water immersion heater can overheat, melt or catch fire, posing shock, electrocution and fire hazards.

The recall was initiated after the company received 19 reports of the recalled water immersion heaters overheating, melting or catching fire and two reports of consumers being shocked.

Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled portable water immersion heaters and contact FXswede AB for a full refund.

In similar recalls, the Jewelry Channel Inc., dba Shop LC, of Austin, Texas, recently recalled about 4,500 units of Shop LC personal electric space heaters after receiving two reports of the electric heaters overheating.
