Hunter Biden Says U.S. Attorney Is Probing His Taxes

President-elect Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is facing a federal investigation into his tax affairs after his foreign business dealings became a flash point in the 2020 presidential campaign.

“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” Hunter Biden said in a statement Wednesday.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised Biden’s lawyers of the investigation for the first time on Tuesday.

The president-elect’s transition office issued a statement of support for his son, whose struggles with substance abuse and foreign dealings were repeatedly criticized by President Donald Trump during the campaign.

“President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger,” the transition office said in a statement.

‘AI, a key enabler for organisations to repair, rethink, reconfigure’

India witnessed the highest increase in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence-driven technologies in 2020 compared to the U.S., U.K., and Japan, said PwC India.

Over 90% of Indian enterprises surveyed by PwC are implementing or planning to invest in AI solutions or technologies to address business challenges brought in by the pandemic. Also, Travel and hospitality (89%) have taken the lead in AI adoption, followed by technology, media and telecom (86%), financial services (82%), and healthcare and pharma (73%), as per the consulting firm.

Sudipta Ghosh, Partner and Leader- Data and Analytics, PwC India said, “The far-reaching consequences of the global pandemic have driven organisations to balance the competing priorities of safeguarding the health and ensuring business continuity.”

London Luxury Homes Left Behind by Pandemic Property Boom

London’s luxury property market is getting left out of the U.K.’s biggest housing rally in almost half a decade.

House prices in the city’s most expensive districts slipped 0.1% between June and November, capping the largest annual drop since 2016, according to broker Knight Frank. Values across the U.K., however, last month posted the biggest such increase in four years.

While the national growth has been fueled by a tax break on sales and pent up demand after the Covid-19 lockdown in spring, London’s prime property prices have slumped as international buyers stay away.

London’s luxury rental market is also suffering, with average prices plummeting by 10.5% through November, the biggest fall since the global financial crisis, Knight Frank said. An oversupply of short-stay properties and a lack of visitors to the capital have combined to drag prices down, although the roll-out of a vaccine might help a recovery in 2021.

The broker forecasts 4% growth in house prices in the wealthiest central London areas next year, on the basis that any economic fallout from the pandemic will be more limited in high-end markets.

Joe Biden's gaffe-filled 2020: President-elect botches HHS announcement

Joe Biden’s best teleprompter gaffes of 2020

President-elect Joe Biden has had plenty of misadventures with the teleprompter in 2020.

President-elect Joe Biden had his latest misadventure with a teleprompter on Wednesday, botching the name of Xavier Becerra, his nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary.

"For secretary of health and education services, I nominate Xavier Bacharia," he said, before correcting himself.

Biden and Becerra served in Congress at the same time from 1992 to 2009, when Biden was elected vice-president.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen sell NYC mansion for $40M

More from:

Power couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are selling their Tribeca home for $40 million, The Post has learned.

“They are in contract to sell and the deal is expected to close soon,” a source said. The buyer, we hear, is a New York and Connecticut-based financier.

And they are making a killing on the sale — since they bought the 12th-floor unit at Robert A.M. Stern’s 70 Vestry for $25.46 million in 2018, according to property records.

Twelve also happened to be quarterback Brady’s lucky number, emblazoned on his Patriots’ jerseys. Brady is now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The couple is still committed to the Big Apple — and they will be keeping a smaller unit they still own in the building.

“Tom and Gisele still love New York but they are downsizing because they are spending so much time in Tampa,” the inside source said.

The five-bedroom, 5 1⁄2-bath residence they are selling comes with a massive 1,900-square-foot terrace. The 14-story building features an 82-foot lap pool, just one perk in its 12,000 square feet of amenities.

When the couple first moved to Tampa, they rented Derek Jeter’s mansion on Davis Islands. They’re now reportedly in contract to buy a $7.5 million home in the area.
