The Killers Pay Tribute To ‘90210’ Star Luke Perry
The Killers paid tribute to late “Riverdale ” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor Luke Perry, who died after suffering a massive stroke last week.
The rock band had cast the 52-year-old actor in a western-themed video for their 2009 holiday single “Happy Birthday Guadalupe.”
“So sad to lose Luke Perry. He did an amazing job in ‘¡Happy Birthday Guadalupe!’ for no compensation, because all went to charity,” the band said in an Instagram post accompanied by a video featuring Perry singing in the desert wearing a black cowboy hat. “An honor to have him in the video. He will be greatly missed,” the Killers added.
A spokesperson said Perry was “surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends” at the time of his death
