Shares of Inphi Corporation (IPHI) rose 4.68% on Tuesday’s trading before closing at $78.98, close to its 52-week high of $79.57.
For the fourth quarter, the company sees revenue in the range of $97.8 million to $101.8 million and EPS are expected in a range of $0.40 to $0.50. Analysts expect earnings of $0.45 on revenues of $100.07 million. The company’s earnings have surpassed the consensus estimates in all the past three quarters.
Fourth-quarter earnings are scheduled to be reported on January 27.
In November last year, the high-speed analog semiconductor solutions provider had signed an agreement to acquire eSilicon, a leading provider of SerDes, Custom Silicon and advanced 2.5D packaging solutions.
Inphi had reported better-than-expected third-quarter results in October.
Revenue in the third quarter was $94.2 million, up 20.8% year-over-year. Adjusted earnings grew to $21.5 million, or $0.45 per share from $13.7 million, or $0.30 per share in the corresponding quarter last year. This compares with the Street estimate of $0.37 per share.

UN: Keeping Lebanon without government "increasingly irresponsible"
BEIRUT, Jan 8 (Reuters) – Keeping Lebanon without a government is “increasingly irresponsible” given developments in the region and the country, the senior U.N. official said on Wednesday.
“Given the situation and developments in the country and the region it is increasingly irresponsible to keep Lebanon without an effective and credible government,” U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jan Kubis said in a Tweet.
“I urge the leaders to move without any further delay.”
India's new mining rules to enhance foreign participation in coal sector: Minister
To attract foreign players to the domestic coal sector and cut imports of fuel, India has eased mining law.
India’s cabinet has eased mining laws in a bid to attract foreign players to the domestic coal sector and reduce imports of the fuel, coal minister Pralhad Joshi said on Wednesday.
India plans to float global tenders for the first time for coal mining blocks in March, Mr. Joshi said, a move that could end Coal India Ltd’s near-monopoly of the fuel.
The auctions are intended to attract global miners such as Glencore Plc, BHP Group , Anglo American PLC and Peabody Energy Corp.
Spain targets gross debt issuance of 196.5 billion euros in 2020
MADRID (Reuters) – Spain is targeting gross debt issuance of 196.5 billion euros ($218.76 billion) in 2020, down 6.2 percent from the 2019 target, the head of the Spanish Treasury, Carlos San Basilio, said on Wednesday.
The Treasury plans net debt issuance of 32.5 billion euros compared with just under 20 billion euros issued last year.

Lennar Corp. Earnings Decline In Q4
Lennar Corp. (LEN.B) released earnings for fourth quarter that declined from last year.
The company’s earnings came in at $674.30 million, or $2.13 per share. This compares with $796.15 million, or $2.42 per share, in last year’s fourth quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.90 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose 7.9% to $6.97 billion from $6.46 billion last year.

Tesla Delivers More Than 12K Model 3s In Netherlands In December
Luxury electric car maker Tesla Inc. has delivered more than 12,000 Model 3 vehicles in the Netherlands. The significant sales growth is attributed to an electric vehicle incentive that expired at the end of 2019.
According to Kentekenradar, which publishes current license plate statistics in the country, 12,062 Tesla Model 3s were registered in the country in December. This is significantly higher than the 3,980 Model 3s delivered in November.
In December, Tesla Model 3 registrations topped the list of electric vehicles, while the sales of several other electric vehicles also increased substantially before the end of EV incentive. Tesla was followed by Audi E-tron with 3,037 registrations and Nissan Leaf with 1,068 registrations.
According to a Bloomberg report, that the company is required to hand over around 105,000 vehicles worldwide in the fourth quarter to reach the low end of its fiscal 2019 outlook of 360,000 to 400,000 vehicle deliveries. Tesla handed over 97,000 vehicles in the third quarter.
Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk was present in the company’s California factory on New Year’s Eve to help with vehicle deliveries.
