Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. plans a quarantine of up to two weeks for any employee that returns to work at its main iPhone-making base, a precautionary measure to curb the novel coronavirus that may hurt Apple Inc.’s production.
Apple’s most important manufacturing partner still intends to officially resume work Feb. 10 after an extended Lunar New Year break intended to combat the outbreak. But Hon Hai said in a statement Wednesday that workers returning from outside Henan province, site of its main factory in Zhengzhou, will be sequestered for 14 days. Any staff reporting to work who reside within the province itself will be isolated for 7 days, the company added.
Hon Hai, known also as Foxconn, makes the vast majority of the world’s iPhones from Zhengzhou, central China. The company has become a high-profile symbol of how the outbreak, which has killed about 500 worldwide, could disrupt the world’s supply of made-in-China electronics.

Nancy Pelosi Legit Ripped Up Trump's State of the Union Speech in Front of Him
Last night, President Donald Trump gave his State of the Union address, and the vibes between him and Nancy Pelosi were…let’s say…chilly.
Things were tense between Trump and Pelosi from the beginning, when he handed her a printed copy of his speech and she reached out to shake his hand only to have him turn his back. Pelosi ended up shrugging the moment off and raising her eyebrows. But then, as The New York Times reports, she got a little shady with Trump in her introduction, choosing to say “Members of Congress, the president of the United States” instead of the customary “I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the president of the United States.”
But the real moment came at the end, when Pelosi legit ripped her speech in half behind Trump’s back:
Here’s a full video, courtesy of TIME:
When asked why she tore up the transcript, Pelosi said it was “the courteous thing to do considering the alternative.” She also tweeted “Democrats will never stop extending the hand of friendship to get the job done #ForThePeople. We will work to find common ground where we can, but will stand our ground where we cannot. #SOTU”

Trump’s Senate Supporters Get A Stark Reminder Just Before Impeachment Vote
The Senate is set to deliver its verdict in Donald Trump’s impeachment trial on Wednesday. Although the president is almost certain to be acquitted by the GOP-controlled Senate, Eleven Films has launched a last-minute effort to change some minds.
“Midnight in Washington,” released Tuesday night by the Oregon-based media company, combines comments made by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), one of the House impeachment managers, with footage of Trump.
“If you find that the House has proved its case and still vote to acquit, your name will be tied to his with a cord of steel and for all of history,” Schiff warns in the footage.
“Do you remember America?” a message on the screen near the end reads. “We do.”
The video had more than 1 million views after just five hours on Twitter, with many praising the footage:

Team Trump’s Red-Hat Filled ‘Hostage’ Plane Gets The Treatment On Twitter
Members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet and his reelection team posed for a photo on a flight from Iowa to Washington while wearing red hats with “Keep Iowa Great” written on them.
And Twitter users tried to wrap their heads around some of the oddities in the image, from the less-than-thrilled expression on the face of acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to the unusually gleeful one on Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.
Several people, including Mulvaney and Trump’s eldest sons ― Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump ― moved from seats in the front cabin to the back to be in the photo. Housing Secretary Ben Carson also moved from the front to be in the photo, but not to a seat. Rather, he perched on an armrest and appeared mostly in the center aisle of the plane and in the middle of the image.
Twitter users tried to take some guesses as to what was going on in the awkward photo:
