The recall was initiated as small jelly cups containing konjac powder have been implicated in choking deaths of children earlier. At present, small konjac powder jelly cups are under FDA import alert 35-15 and are not permitted for entry into the United States.

Storm Cristobal Weakens To Tropical Depression
Tropical Storm Cristobal weakened to a tropical depression Monday morning after making landfall in Southeast Louisiana on Sunday evening, producing dangerous flooding.
The third named storm of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, Cristobal made landfall after 5 p.m., and is forecast to bring heavy rain and tropical storm-force wind gusts into Mississippi and Alabama.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said that Cristobal is forecast to produce rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 inches from the central and eastern Gulf Coast into the lower Mississippi Valley, with winds having a force of near 35 mph.
An NHC advisory issued at 10 AM CDT said the center of Cristobal is expected to move through northeastern Louisiana today, through Arkansas and eastern Missouri
tonight and Tuesday, and reach Wisconsin and the western Great Lakes by Wednesday.
Some weakening is forecast through Tuesday. However, Cristobal is expected to gain strength as it becomes an extratropical low Tuesday night and Wednesday, it added.
The weather agency warned that isolated tornadoes are possible today and tonight across Mississippi, Alabama, southeastern Louisiana, eastern Arkansas, western Tennessee, and southeastern Missouri.
Workers Can’t Be Fired for LGBT Status, U.S. Supreme Court Says
A divided U.S. Supreme Court ruled that federal law protects gay and transgender workers from job discrimination in a pair of decisions that give millions of LGBT people new civil rights.
Conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch and Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court’s four liberals in a 6-3 majority, interpreting the longstanding federal ban on sex discrimination in the workplace to cover bias on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The decisions could have a broad practical impact. More than half the U.S. states don’t cover sexual orientation and gender identity through their own anti-discrimination laws. More than half the nation’s 8 million LGBT workers live in those states, according to the UCLA School of Law’s Williams Institute.
The victory for LGBT rights comes even after the Supreme Court shifted to the right with two appointments by President Donald Trump.
The cases tackled a central irony in the fight over LGBT rights. Even though the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide in 2015, LGBT people still could have been fired from their jobs in much of the country.
