Spike Lee heads back to work following Oscars win

After winning his first Oscar on Sunday night, it was back to work Monday morning for director Spike Lee.

Lee told Page Six at Vanity Fair’s star-studded after-party that he was taking off Monday morning for Thailand to work on his next movie.

“It’s onto the next one,” said Lee holding his Oscar. He told us that the statue would travel home with his wife, Tonya. “It’s not coming to Thailand.”

Lee’s next film is reportedly “Da 5 Bloods,” starring “Black Panther” hero Chadwick Boseman. The project for Netflix follows a group of Vietnam vets who return years later.

Also at the VF bash was Lee’s longtime producer Jon Kilik, who will travel with Lee on the trip. Oscar winner Ruth E. Carter is also working on the project.

As far as any sour grapes over “Green Book” winning Best Picture over his film, “BlacKkKlansman,” Lee told us, “I’m over it.”

He was seen celebrating at the party with well wishers including a very enthusiastic Vin Diesel.
