Rumors of mega-long ‘Game of Thrones’ episodes aren’t true
Rumors that the final “Game of Thrones” season will consist of all feature-length episodes have been debunked.
The eighth and final season, which will have six episodes, will kick off with two relatively normal hours. The season premiere will be 54 minutes, while the second episode is 58 minutes, according to HBO,
This isn’t much different than the previous seven seasons.
Enterprising fans have figured out the remaining four episodes in the season will indeed be super-sized, clocking in around 70 and 80 minutes, including the series finale. But HBO has not officially confirmed that yet.
For now, we just know that the first and second episode of Season 8 will have tame lengths. So the notion of unanimously mega-long episodes is simply not true.
The season launches April 14 on HBO.
