The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has begun working on vocals for the iconic rock band’s upcoming studio album.

Guitarist Pete Townshend revealed the news in a post on the band’s official website as he continues to provide fans with regular updates on the production of the album.

“Roger has started working on vocals in a studio near his home, Bobby Pridden is engineering for Roger,” Townshend wrote. “Look out for new video shoots next week.”

He added, “I’m hoping I might be able to get some video footage of Roger working on his vocals, or at least a ‘hello’ for you all.”

In addition to working on a new album, the Who are set to kick off a 29-date North American tour in Michigan in May.
