RCMP lay drug charges after search of Nova Scotia storefront

Nova Scotia RCMP say three people have been charged after police executed a search warrant at a cannabis storefront on Post Road in Antigonish County on Friday.

Police say that as a result of the search, a large quantity of cannabis, cash and documents were seized.

The three employees working at the store were arrested at the scene without incident.

The Mounties say a 52-year-old woman and a 39-year-old-man, both from Antigonish, N.S., are facing one count each of possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling.

A third person was released without charge.

The man and woman, who have not been named, are scheduled to appear in court in Antigonish Provincial Court on May 15.

RCMP say their investigation is ongoing and more charges may be laid.
