Twitter DOWN as mystery 'over capacity' error leaves users unable to log on

A MYSTERIOUS Twitter outage has left many users unable to log on and check their feeds.

The website appears to have stopped working on Monday, with an error message about the site being "over capacity" appearing.

Twitter down – what's happened?

According to outage tracker Down Detector, thousands of users have complained about Twitter today.

That likely means many more users are affected – as Down Detector only logs people who hit the "report" button on its website.

A live tracker map suggests that Twitter is having issues around the world, including the UK, Europe and USA.

The Sun has confirmed that users are experiencing an error page that reads: "Twitter is over capacity."

It's not clear how many users are affected, but the number is likely to be large.

According to Down Detector, the issue is affecting the website, as well as the iOS and Android apps.

The Twitter feed is failing to load for some users, and the search function also appears to be experiencing issues.

RedHill Biopharma: RHB-107 Selected By NIAID For In Vitro Testing – Quick Facts

RedHill Biopharma Ltd. (RDHL) has entered into an agreement with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to provide its investigational drug, RHB-107, for testing in non-clinical studies for activity against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. RHB-107 is a serine protease inhibitor active against a number of human trypsins and several other related serine proteases.

Terry Plasse, Medical Director at RedHill, said: “This new agreement will facilitate pre-clinical evaluation of RHB-107 as a potential COVID-19 treatment.”

RedHill is also evaluating another investigational drug, opaganib (Yeliva), as a potential treatment for SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Monday, the Canada-based e-commerce company said it has launched its Shopify Capital program in Canada, offering cash advances to business owners as they struggle with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Shopify said it is offering cash advances that can be repaid through future sales. Starting today, eligible Canadian merchants will have access to the program, with advances ranging from C$200 to C$500,000 per eligible merchant to keep their businesses going.

Shopify’s shares have been seeing strong gains since last Thursday after Chief Technology Officer Jean-Michel Lemieux tweeted that the Shopify platform was handling Black Friday level traffic every day as thousands of businesses moved online amid the coronavirus pandemic.

CRWD stock has been on an uptrend since it touched its 52 week low of $31.95 last month. It has more than doubled since then.

In the fourth-quarter ended January 31, 2020 the company had 89% year-over-year revenue growth at $152.1 million on 90% increase in subscription revenue.

Kaiser Aluminum Corporation Q1 adjusted earnings Beat Estimates

Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (KLUCQ.OB) reported earnings for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company’s earnings totaled $29 million, or $1.81 per share. This compares with $28 million, or $1.71 per share, in last year’s first quarter.

Excluding items, Kaiser Aluminum Corporation reported adjusted earnings of $30 million or $1.90 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.58 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

The company’s revenue for the quarter fell 6.6% to $369 million from $395 million last year.

Even as coronavirus-related deaths in the United States crossed 40,000, protests against lockdowns are taking place in various states in the country.

Protesters took to the streets in Arizona, Colorado, Montana and Washington on Sunday, as President Donald Trump had made his stand in favor of reopening economies shut down mainly due to the “stay at home” orders issued by state governors.

U.S. death toll rose to 40683 as per Johns Hopkins University’s latest data.

Although there are reports that infection rates are slowing down in some states, a total of 759,786 people were infected in the United States, the world’s worst-affected country in the world.

Of all the confirmed cases in the country, 248,417 were reported in New York,

Nearly half of all casualties in the U.S. were in New York, which reported 18,298 death as of John Hopkins’ 8:00 a.m. ET update on Monday.

New Jersey (4362 deaths and 85301 infections), Michigan (2391 deaths, 31424 infections), Massachusetts (1706 deaths and 38077 infections), Louisiana (1296 deaths, 23928 infections), Illinois (1290 death, 30357 infections), Pennsylvania (1276 deaths, 32902 infections), California (1180 deaths, 31531 infections) Connecticut (1127 deaths, 17962 infections), Florida (774 deaths, 26314 infections), Georgia (687 deaths, 18301 infections) and Washington (634 deaths, 11948 infections) are the other worst-affected states.
