Pink soars on big-voiced, foot-stomping new single ‘Walk Me Home’

Pink’s new single is an optimistic departure from “What About Us,” “Beautiful Trauma” and her other recent singles about dysfunctional love stories.

Released Wednesday, “Walk Me Home” is a big-voiced, foot-stomping anthem from the 39-year-old singer, with a chorus that sees her trying to find a late night companion: “Walk me home in the dead of night / I can’t be alone with all that’s on my mind / So say you’ll stay with me tonight / Cause there is so much wrong, going on outside.”

Pink previewed the song on her recent appearance on “Ellen,” and teased the release of her forthcoming studio album “Hurts 2B Human,” which she said will arrive sometime in April.

While playing a game onscreen with Ellen DeGeneres, Pink also revealed that she slashed husband Carey Hart’s tires in a Thanksgiving Day incident that required 13 stitches.

Pink later clarified on Twitter that the drama happened over a decade ago. “The story going around about my slashing tires is from 2003. I have not harmed a car in 15 years,” she wrote, with the hashtag “reformed.”
