ServisFirst Bancshares Q3 Profit Up
ServisFirst Bancshares, Inc. (SFBS), Monday said its profit for the third quarter rose from last year, as interest income rose.
Third-quarter profit was $64.0 million or $1.17 per share, up from $52.5 million or $0.96 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.23 per share for the quarter. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Net interest income for the third quarter rose to $126.4 million from $96.3 million last year. Non-interest income increased to $8.9 million from $8.0 million last year. Analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $132.51 million for the quarter.
Net interest margin in the third quarter was 3.64%, up from 2.85% in the third quarter last year.

Denver police investigate Sunday murder near Green Valley Ranch
Denver police have launched a homicide investigation after an adult woman was found dead Sunday afternoon inside a home near Green Valley Ranch.
The woman was found around 3 p.m. Sunday in the 18700 block of E. 58th Avenue, police said on Twitter.
Authorities released few details other than news of the homicide investigation.

Nordstrom CFO Anne Bramman To Step Down; Reaffirms 2022 Outlook
Nordstrom Inc. (JWN) said that its Chief Financial Officer Anne Bramman has informed the company of her intention to step down from her role. Her last day with the company will be December 2, 2022.
Michael Maher, Nordstrom’s senior vice president and chief accounting officer, will assume the role of interim CFO upon Bramman’s departure. Nordstrom has commenced an internal and external search process to identify a permanent CFO.
Maher joined Nordstrom in 2009 as controller and has more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience.Prior to his appointment as Nordstrom’s chief accounting officer in 2020, Maher served as senior vice president, finance from 2017 to 2020. From 2011 to 2017, he held various finance leadership roles for the Nordstrom business.
The company reaffirmed its fiscal year 2022 financial outlook that was previously provided in August 2022. The company still expects annual revenue growth, including retail sales and credit card revenues, of 5 to 7 percent, earnings of $2.45 to $2.75 per share and adjusted earnings of $2.30 to $2.60 per share.

Pfeiffer Vacuum 9-month Preliminary Group Sales Increase
Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG (PFFVF.PK,PVTCY.PK) reported that its preliminary group sales for the first nine months of 2022 increased by 16.2 percent to 668.7 million euros from 575.3 million euros last year.
The preliminary nine months 2022 operating result (EBIT) increased 27.0 percent year-over-year to 94.0 million euros.
The order intake for the first nine months 2022 was 866.5 million euros, representing an increase of 25.4 percent from the previous year. The increase was related to the strong demand in both market segments.
The company updated its guidance for the consolidated full year 2022 sales to 860 million euros to 880 million euros, which represents a sales growth of about 11 to 14 percent compared to consolidated full year 2021. It was previously expected that sales growth of 5 percent or more.
The EBIT margin is expected to remain unchanged from previous expectations at around 14 percent for the full year 2022.
Pfeiffer Vacuum will announce detailed results for the first nine months of 2022 on November 3, 2022.
Lufthansa Q3 Preliminary Adj. EBIT Surges; Raises FY Adj. EBIT Forecast
Lufthansa Group (DLAKF,DLAKY) reported that its third quarter preliminary adjusted EBIT surged to about 1.1 billion euros from the previous year’s 251 million euros. The latest quarter result included an impact from strikes of around 70 million euros.
Quarterly revenue almost doubled to 10.1 billion euros from 5.2 billion euros in the prior year.
Quarterly adjusted free cash flow was around 400 million euros compared to 43 million euros last year.
Lufthansa Group raised its forecast for the full year, based on the positive development in the third quarter and the current booking situation. The current booking situation continues to reflect strong demand for air travel in the coming months and the expectation of another record result from Lufthansa Cargo in 2022.
The company now expects annual adjusted EBIT of over 1 billion euros. The company said in August it expected adjusted EBIT to be above 500 million euros for the full year of 2022.
The Group also expects an adjusted Free Cash Flow of over 2 billion euros in 2022.
The Group will present its final quarterly results on October 27, 2022.
