Percussionist Chris Fehn Leaves Slipknot Amid Financial Dispute

Slipknot has parted ways with percussionist Chris Fehn amid a financial dispute.

In a statement on its official website, the band said, “Slipknot’s focus is on making album #6, and our upcoming shows around the world, our best ever. Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot”

“We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot,” the statement continued. “We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life.”

Last week, The Blast reported that Fehn was suing Slipknot, alleging financial misappropriation. Fehn asked for a complete forensic accounting to be done on Slipknot’s companies and assets.

Meanwhile, Slipknot are set to release their 6th studio album on August 9. The band have also announced a 29-date “Knotfest Roadshow,” which spans the United States and Canada and will begin on July 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.
