Randy Juan Muller, 23, lived in Terminal 2 from March 21 until June 3 when he was moved to a hotel after his story gained traction on social media.

Global coronavirus death toll surpasses 400,000

The global coronavirus death toll topped the 400,000 mark Sunday, health officials said.

More than a quarter of the fatalities, or 109,928, have occurred in the US — the highest number of any country, according to statistics compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

The country with the second highest death toll is the UK, with more than 40,500 people dead so far from the contagion.

But world health officials have warned that the actual fatality figures are likely higher, since many people who died have not been tested for the virus.

Mitt Romney joins Black Lives Matter protest in Washington DC

Mitt Romney joined a Black Lives Matter protest in Washington D.C. on Sunday.

The Republican senator from Utah could be seen wearing a facemask and marching with demonstrators in an image posted to this Twitter account.

“We need a voice against racism, we need many voices against racism and against brutality,” Romney told a reporter at the protest.

“And we need to stand up and say ‘black lives matter.’”

Romney has been a fierce critic of President Trump and was listed among a group of Republicans who have withheld support for the president’s reelection campaign.
