Britain's coronavirus death toll rises by 36, lowest daily tally during lockdown
LONDON (REUTERS) – Britain’s death toll from confirmed cases of coronavirus rose by 36 to 41,698 as of 1600 GMT on June 13, government data showed on Sunday (June 14).
The rise is the lowest since March 22, the day before Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a lockdown that required people to stay at home except to travel for work if necessary and for essential shopping, exercise, and medical and care needs.
The daily tally of coronavirus deaths usually dips at the weekend due to delays in reporting fatalities.

SEC Probing Kyle Bass’s Statements Over UDF Short Position: DJ
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into whether statements made by hedge fund manager Kyle Bass in relation to his short position in Texas real-estate lender United Development Funding IV conveyed false or misleading statements amounting to market manipulation, Dow Jones reported, citing people familiar with the matter that it didn’t identify.

Karen Haws, Randy Narvaez, and James McKay were King Soopers employees and members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 7.
Haws was a courtesy clerk and was with the Kroger-owned grocer since 2019. She died of the virus on April 10. Narvaez had been employed with King Soopers for 30 years and died May 17. Mckay was a King Soopers employee since 2006 and succumbed to the illness on May 23.
