Matthew McConaughey Gives Life Advice to Texas High School Students (Video)
Matthew McConaughey pays a visit to students from three Just Keep Livin Foundation program high schools!
The 49-year-old Serenity actor, clad in denim, attended the event held at Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy at Mercy Street Sports Complex on Tuesday (March 5) in Arlington, Texas.
He offered support to the students from Sam Houston, whose teacher, Ms. Rebecca Pfleger, passed away unexpectedly in January at age 46, SportsDay reports.
“I’m 49 and I still have to work on it every day,” Matthew told the students. “Just try to take a minute in the morning, take a minute in the afternoon, take a minute before bed, and sit there and check in with yourself.”
He also discussed taking risks, being thankful, and seeing the bright side of things, but “also not to just brush over the hardships in life, to unpack them. Why was this part of my life?”
