Reliance increases spectrum in Karnataka to strengthen Jio network

Jio had earlier bought spectrum worth 57,123 crore for a period of 20 years from the Department of Telecommunication.

Reliance has carried out a spectrum augmentation exercise in Karnataka to strengthen the network infrastructure for its mobile telephony brand, Jio.

In 2300 MHz spectrum, Jio until now had 30 MHz band and now this would be augmented to 40MHz. Also, in 850 MHz, it so far had 5MHz band and this will be doubled to 10MHz. Similarly, in 1800 MHz spectrum it had 5MHz band and now that has also been doubled to 10MHz.

It may be recalled that Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) in March acquired a total of 488.35MHz of spectrums in 850MHz, 1800MHz and 2300MHz bands from the Department of Telecommunication paying ₹57,123 crore for a period of 20 years with a view to strengthening Jio network across 22 telecom circles, including Karnataka, in the country.

“With this, the total bandwidth available for usage in 850 MHz will be doubled and 2300 MHz will be enhanced by 25%. Spectrum augmentation of this magnitude will certainly help improve the network experience for the entire Jio subscriber base in Karnataka,” said the company.

Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, curtailed movements and lockdowns, this network enhancement was expected to help professionals working from home, students to attend classes online and businesses running from home to seamlessly carry out their activities, it further said.

The NL West is baseball’s best division. And Giants-Dodgers may finally get its October run

As the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers meet for the first of 19 games on Friday night, there’s far more to embrace than the mere renewal of one of baseball’s greatest rivalries.

In this season of unprecedented inaction and cheapened no-hitters, of position players pitching because there aren’t enough arms to strike out the largely overmatched hitters, the National League West offers a refreshing diversion: The three best teams in baseball in a season-long tug-of-war, and a chance to right a historical blip at the end.

See, in the 26 years since Major League Baseball added a wild card and raised the prospect of intradivision playoff matchups, the Dodgers and Giants have never met in the postseason, a startling anomaly given the teams’ 23 combined playoff berths in that span and the past decade-plus that saw three Giants World Series championships and eight consecutive Dodgers division titles.

The parity of baseball’s wild-card era has produced almost every other NL West matchup beyond Game 162.

Trump Calls Criminal Probe A Witch-Hunt To Scuttle His 2024 Election Bid

Former President Donald Trump has alleged that the criminal investigation into the Trump Organization was a witch-hunt aimed to block him from running for the 2024 presidential election.

New York attorney general Letitia James had announced earlier this week that her inquiry into the billionaire-turned politician’s financial dealings was “no longer purely civil” but also criminal, working with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

“There is nothing more corrupt than an investigation that is in desperate search of a crime,” he said in a statement posted on his newly launched ‘Save America’ website, in which he describes himself as President Donald J. Trump.

Trump alleged that the New York Attorney General campaigned on prosecuting him even before she was even elected. “This is something that happens in failed third world countries,” according to him.

“These Democrat offices are consumed with this political and partisan Witch Hunt at a time when crime is up big in New York City,” Trump said.

“That is what these investigations are all about—a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of the United States. Working in conjunction with Washington, these Democrats want to silence and cancel millions of voters because they don’t want “Trump” to run again,” he added.

Marco Rubio Doesn’t Finish Tweet And Twitter Users Fill In The Blank

Sen. Marco Rubio had social media on the edge of its tweet Friday.

The Florida Republican posted a tweet that looked like the beginning of a “serious” attempt to own those dang libs, and the media too!

Except Rubio didn’t finish his thought.

It’s possible Rubio was following a train of thought from an earlier tweet referencing tensions over the Israel-Palestine conflict, but the senator didn’t make that clear by connecting the cryptic tweet with the prior one.

Luckily, Twitter users attempted to help the senator by offering suggestions for how the incomplete tweet should end.

Some people seemed to be on Rubio’s wavelength.

But some people had questions.
