A 26-year-old Texas fiancé died following a stunt in which he attempted to slide down a handrail and fell, police said.

The victim, who was identified as Kyle Wolf, suffered multiple blunt force injuries when he fell Friday from the rail of an apartment stairwell in Grapevine, according to officials.

Wolf was a resident of the building and attempted the stunt while helping a friend move, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. He reportedly slipped from the handrail and fell onto concrete.

Wolf was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m., according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

The death was ruled an accident.

Wolf was engaged at the time of his death, according to a GoFundMe page. The fundraiser was created to help his fiancée pay for the funeral and relocate.
