Luke Perry has passed away at the age of 52.

According to TMZ, the Riverdale actor died on Monday morning after suffering a massive stroke last week. He was rushed to St. John’s Hospital in Burbank, California on Wednesday, but sadly never recovered.

As we previously reported, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum’s current and former costars went on social media to wish him a speedy recovery following the news. At the time, his rep confirmed the star was “currently under observation at the hospital.”

No statement has been released today.

Just last week FOX announced its plans to reboot the iconic 90s show that propelled him to stardom playing Dylan McKay, but he reportedly hadn’t signed on to the role yet.
