Euro Tech Holdings Co. Ltd. (CLWT) on Monday reported in its unaudited financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2019 a net loss of about $280,000 for the first-half of 2019, compared to net profit of about $878,000 in the prior-year period, which included a non-recurrent net gain on disposal of an affiliate of approximately $1.52 million.
The Company’s revenues for the first half were about $8.82 million, a 7.4 percent decline from about $9.52 million in the same period last year.
Looking ahead, the company said the economic slowdown in MainlandChina and Hong Kong resulting from the China-US trade war and the ongoing social unrest in Hong Kong will adversely affect the overall operating performance of the Company in the second half year of 2019 and the near future.

UNITED FLIGHT FROM NEWARK HAS ROUGH LANDING IN DENVER
The airport tweeted early Monday that it was closed due to flash flooding and severe rains. It tweeted an update at about 6:30 a.m. that said flight operations were resuming.
It had issued an advisory late Sunday that said more than 150 of its flights were experiencing weather delays and 11 flights had been canceled. Areas around the airport were hit with about 6 inches (15 centimeters) of rain between midnight and early Monday morning, according to WPTV-TV.

WASHINGTON (REUTERS) – Boeing Co Chief Executive Officer Dennis Muilenburg has resigned, the company said on Monday (Dec 23), following a year of intense scrutiny and industrial setbacks set off by twin fatal crashes of its 737 MAX jetliner.
Chairman David Calhoun will serve as CEO and president, effective Jan 13, the company said.
“The Board of Directors decided that a change in leadership was necessary to restore confidence in the company moving forward as it works to repair relationships with regulators, customers, and all other stakeholders,” the company said.

The Wright Medical acquisition, which is the fourth for Stryker this year, is expected to close in the second half of 2020.
SYK has traded in a range of $144.75 to $223.45 in the last 1 year. In pre-market trading, Monday, the stock is up 0.76% to $204.47.

SECOND CREDIT SUISSE SPYING PROBE EXPECTED TO CLEAR CEO
Gov. John Bel Edwards and Supreme Rice President and CEO Bobby Hanks announced the plans recently. They say Supreme will keep its 150 workers in Louisiana, including 105 in Crowley.
“Louisiana’s natural resources and geographic position have blessed us with an agricultural bounty that is the envy of the world,” Edwards said in a news release. “This landmark Crowley company will celebrate 85 years in business in 2021, and they are celebrating this milestone with a reinvestment in the community.”
Hanks said Supreme, which processes more than 1 billion pounds of rice a year, will install the latest technology in milling machines and milled rice storage and also make related railroad improvements.
