A group of 21 men are facing prison sentences after pleading guilty to affray following a mass bar brawl in Leeds. 

Police released dramatic footage of the incident at the Arc Bar in Headingley, where violence erupted after an argument between two people.

The video shows people being punched, kicked and stamped on and glasses and chairs being thrown.

The suspects later ran from the scene, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported.

A 28-year-old man suffered a head wound and was taken to hospital.

Shortly after the incident on 17 February, Detective Inspector James Entwistle of West Yorkshire Police said: “The situation appears to have started with a confrontation between two people that has then quickly turned in to a mass brawl.

“The video shows how there was very little that the bar’s security could do to control the situation and it was clearly a shocking thing for staff and other people in the bar to witness.”

Nine men appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday and admitted affray.

A further 12 men have already entered guilty pleas.

The men, who are from Leeds, Wetherby and Harrogate, will be sentenced in May.
