Blake Lively has signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios, studio head Jen Salke said during the Television Critics Association press tour Saturday.
As previously announced, “Gossip Girl” alum is currently working on a scripted series with a merchandising component for Prime Video.

Amazon Cancels Three Shows, Renews Two Other Shows
Amazon has revealed the status of five of its series – three of them have been canceled and two of them have been renewed.
The streamer previewed things to come during their panel at the 2019 TCA Summer Press Tour on Saturday morning (July 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
One of the shows that just got renewed hasn’t even premiered yet, but it will be getting a second season. The other show that was renewed will be going into its fifth season.

David Ortiz released from hospital after Dominican Republic shooting
David Ortiz was released from the hospital Friday — nearly seven weeks after he was shot in his native Dominican Republic, according to ESPN.
The former Red Sox slugger had been at Massachusetts General Hospital since June 10 — the day after he was mistakenly targeted by a hitman and shot in the back at a club in Santo Domingo.
The 43-year-old retired All-Star underwent three surgeries — two in Boston and one the day of the shooting in the Dominican Republic.
Ortiz will continue his recovery at home with the aid of nurses and a personal physician, ESPN reported.

Famed agent John Ferriter dead at 59
Celebrity agent John Ferriter, 59, has died.
His clients included Jimmy Kimmel, Dick Clark, Arsenio Hall, Ryan Seacrest, Piers Morgan, Adam Carolla, Carson Daly, Mario Lopez, Nancy O’Dell, Marie Osmond, Drew Pinsky, Erin Burnett and producer Glenn Weiss.
Ferriter sued William Morris Endeavor for $25 million after its 2009 merger. “I was constructively terminated,” he told the Daily Beast in 2010. Ferriter joined Octagon as managing director before opening The Alternative in partnership with Jamie Gruttemeyer.
No cause of death has been determined.
