Greta Van Fleet Earns Fourth No. 1 On Mainstream Rock Songs Chart
Greta Van Fleet has earned its fourth No. 1 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart, with “You’re the One” climbing to the top of the list dated March 16.
After “Highway Tune” ascended to the top in September 2017 and stayed up there for five weeks, the band’s “Safari Song” and “When the Curtain Falls” rose to No. 1 in February 2018 and November 2018, respectively.
Greta Van Fleet has become only the second band to have sent four fully promoted singles to No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart after The Pretty Reckless achieved the feat during March 2014-November 2016.
Greta Van Fleet’s “Black Smoke Rising,” which was serviced to the radio but not officially promoted, made it to the Mainstream Rock Songs list in June 2018, appearing at No. 39.
The band’s full-length album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, which contains the tracks “You’re the One” and “When the Curtain Falls,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in early November 2018, earning 87,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
Before climbing to the top spot on the Mainstream Rock Songs list, “You’re the One” rose to No. 13 on the Adult Alternative Songs and No. 26 on the Alternative Songs charts.
