Frank Iero Would Be ‘Honored’ To Have ‘Umbrella Academy’s’ Five Named After Him

My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero has said he would be “honored” if Five from “The Umbrella Academy” is named after him.

Earlier this week, “The Umbrella Academy” Twitter account asked fans what they wanted Number Five to be named. Many fans suggested Iero’s name due to the MCR member’s similarities with the character.

“the people have spoken cc: @FrankIero,” Umbrella Academy tweeted.

“I would be honored! …I would also require 15%” Iero responded on Twitter.

“The Umbrella Academy” series was developed by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater for Netflix. It is an adaptation of the graphic comic book series of the same name, created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, and published by Dark Horse Comics.

The plot revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the oncoming threat of the apocalypse.

The series star an ensemble cast of Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Mary Blige.
